This is my first post … a daunting proposition.  

I feel like a twelve-year-old writing her first entry in a new diary!

I am a Mom, wife, photographer and lover of life.  I believe, when at all possible, to see things in a positive light.  I am an optimist, for me there is no other way.  I choose happiness and silliness over the alternative.  I refuse to live a mundane existence.  

Being a Mom.                                                                                                                      I am Mom to one of God’s most wonderful creations.  My son gives my life purpose      and meaning in a way that nothing else can begin to touch.  I know that I was born to  be his mother and he, my son.  He is the single greatest blessing in my life.  ssshh . .  Just please don’t tell my husband and two dogs … I try to make them each feel they  are all number one in my book!

Soul Mates.                                                                                                                          My husband, Dale and I met through mutual admiration of each other’s work.  He    originally hails from England and was in Florida when we met.  I am a midwestern girl  who has barely set foot out of the United States (unless Mexico and Canada count!).  We are both professional photographers. Together we shoot everything. People,  places, products and promotions.  For our fine art photography, we chase the morning  light … we chase the evening light. We often get so caught up in shooting and  chasing the sun that we get lost and have to use the gps to find our way home.  As  they say, a match made in heaven!  We have had some whacky adventures which I  hope to share with you.  

I hope to write periodically about my passion for life, my obsession for photography, as well as my silly and absent-minded antics and adventures.  

Oh, and the barefoot bit?  Yes, as much as it pains me to admit, I often kick off my shoes when shooting in the studio.  You can also catch me dancing to the music track while my camera shutter clicks away …
